Hickory Man Charged With Assault And Kidnapping

45-year-old Rosalino Esperilla Vallejo of Hickory was arrested by Hickory Police late Saturday night (October 28) on felony counts of first-degree kidnapping and assault inflicting serious injury, including strangulation. He was also charged with misdemeanor assault on a female.

Vallejo was taken into custody without incident at 10:35 p.m. Saturday at his residence. He was placed in the Catawba County Detention Facility where he was initially held without bond. Vallejo was no longer listed as an inmate in Catawba County as of earlier today.
