Hickory Man Busted On Multiple Drug Trafficking Charges

49-year-old Robert Brad Williams of 3rd Avenue Place SE in Hickory was arrested by the North Carolina State Highway Patrol. He’s charged with two counts apiece of traffic in methamphetamine, trafficking, opium or heroin, and trafficking in cocaine. Williams is also charged with misdemeanor counts of flee to elude arrest with a motor vehicle, resisting a public officer, and injury to personal property. He’s also charged with traffic offenses including fail to heed light or siren.

Williams was incarcerated in the Catawba County Detention Facility this morning without bond. A District Court date was scheduled today in Newton.
