Anthony Tyrone Wilkes, age 48 of Hickory, was taken into custody on Sunday by the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office. He’s charged with felony possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, felony larceny of a motor vehicle along with non-support of child. Wilkes is being held in the Catawba County Jail with a bond set at $14,500. A Newton court appearance is set for today.
