HICKORY – This morning the Hickory Fire Department experienced a tragic loss of a firefighter while on duty. The firefighter had a medical emergency and was transported to a local hospital but was pronounced deceased.
The City of Hickory mourns the loss of this firefighter and is working with the family to honor their wishes. No further details will be released at this time. Additional information will be shared as it becomes available.
