Jonathan David Reep
On Friday, Hickory Police charged Jonathan David Reep, age 53, with one count of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and nine counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.
According to a news release from the Hickory Police Department, On April 15th, the Department received an Internet Crimes Against Children cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that concerned child sexual abuse material. During the initial investigation, it was discovered that the account associated with this cyber tip belonged to Reep.
Reep is known for winning the competition on the fifth season of NBC’s “Last Comic Standing” in 2007. He also gained fame for his appearance on Dodge commercials.
Reep is being held in the Catawba County Detention Center with bond listed at $260,000.
