Hamby Named To Another All- State Team

The postseason accolades continue to mount for Alexander Central rising sophomore softball standout Kyla Hamby. On Tuesday she was named fist team All-State by highschoolot.com.

As a freshman this spring Hamby hit .600 with 37 RBIs, 9 doubles, 2 triples, 7 HRs, 43 runs, 32 SBs, 15 BBs; .654 OBS, 1.000 SLG, 1.654 OPS. Hamby is the only freshman to earn first-team all-state honors. The shortstop has already been named all-state and the 4A West co-player of the year by the North Carolina High School Coaches Association.

AC rising juniors Kensley Davis and Lainey Russell were selected to the all-state third-team.

Senior Baseball standout Jaret Hoppes earned an all-state honorable mention
