Christopher James Sturgill, age 24 of Hiddenite, was arrested Saturday by the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office. He’s charged with felony possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver schedule IV controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Sturgill was placed in the Catawba County Detention Center under a secured bond of $3.500. A Monday court appearance is scheduled in Newton.
