Granite Falls Man Killed In Burke County Collision

Burke County- On Saturday, August 29th, at approximately 3:45 p.m., the North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded to and investigated a fatal collision on NC 181 just north of the 22-mile marker. A 2018 Yamaha motorcycle was traveling South on NC 181 when it traveled left of center and collided head-on with a North bound 2018 Subaru passenger car.

The driver of the Yamaha motorcycle, Vincente Alan Adenau, 43, from Granite Falls, was ejected from the motorcycle and succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the collision.

The driver of the Subaru passenger car, Sean Luke Tran, 32, of Maiden, was not injured during this collision.

Speed or impairment are not considered contributing factors in the collision.
