Granite Falls Man Convicted Of Statutory Rape

Caldwell County Sheriff Kevin Bean has announced that Irene Flores, 60, of Granite Falls, has been sentenced to 15 to 23 years in the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction following his conviction this week in Caldwell County Superior Court.

Flores was convicted of:
* Statutory Rape
* Incest
* Statutory Sexual Offense
* Taking Indecent Liberties with a Child

The investigation began in May 2024 and was conducted by investigators with the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office.

Upon completion of his prison sentence, Flores faces deportation proceedings.
