42-year old Shannon Lee Benfield of Granite Falls was taken into custody on Monday by Taylorsville Police. He’s charged with felony larceny, shoplifting-concealment of goods and violation of emergency prohibitions and restrictions. He was placed in the Alexander County Detention Center with a secured bond of $5,000, As of this morning, Benfield was no longer in custody. A court date is scheduled for March 14th.
