Garrett And River Are The Alexander County Animal Services Pets Of The Week

August 4, 2025 By Richard C. Gilbert

Meet Garrett and River, the “Pets of the Week” at Alexander County Animal Services!

Garrett is a 4-month-old male Domestic Shorthair mix who is full of charm and personality. He is curious about the world around him and loves to explore new places at his own pace. Garrett is a bit selective when it comes to his company, but once you’ve earned his trust you’ll discover a playful companion with a soft side.

River is a 2-year-old male Boxer mix with a nose for adventure. This active guy is always up for a good time, whether he’s exploring new trails, chasing toys, or just soaking up the sights around him. River’s curiosity makes every day feel like an exciting journey, and his natural charm is hard to resist.

The adoption fee is only $75, which includes vaccinations, a microchip, and spay/neuter.
To view the adoptable pets, call (828) 632-1199 to schedule a visit or go to https://acpets.org. #shelterpets
