Four Suspects Facing Felony Larceny Related Charges In Alexander County

As the result of an investigation by the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office, four suspects are facing charges following their arrest on Sunday, May 31st. The charges are related to the theft of a dump trailer.

Matthew Blair Richie, age 33, of Valley Hill Dr., Taylorsville is charged with felony possession of stolen goods, breaking and entering and resisting arrest. Richie is being held in the Alexander County Detention Center under a secured bond of $10,000.

Katelyn Marie Omans, age 24, is listed as homeless. She has been charged with felony larceny, breaking and entering, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest. Omans is being held in custody with a bond listed at $25,000.

Two other suspects have been charged in connection to the alleged theft.

Thomas Lee Sherrill, age 33, Barry Oak RD., Statesville is charged with felony aid and abet larceny and resisting arrest. Sherrill is being held in the Alexander County Jail with bond set at $20,000.

Bailey Marie Nichols, age 25, Lyle Haven DR. NW, Conover, is charged with felony aid and abet larceny and resisting arrest. She is being held in the Alexander County Jail with bond set at $10,000.
