Former Taylorsville Resident Arrested In Catawba County

31-year old Betty Anjelique Brooks of Conover was arrested by Hickory Police on Sunday. The former Taylorsville resident was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and resisting a public officer. As of this morning, Brooks remained in the Catawba County Detention Center with a secured bond of $10,500. She is scheduled for a Newton court appearance today.
