A former Alexander County Deputy is scheduled to appear in superior court today in Taylorsville. Michael Lynn Bruce of Hiddenite was indicted by an Alexander County Grand Jury in November on two charges of misdemeanor solicitation of prostitution. The charges which involve two different females date back to 2023. Bruce was terminated at the time according to Alexander County Sheriff Chad Pennell. The Sheriff declined comment due to the ongoing litigation. Bruce, following the indictment turned himself in at the Iredell County Detention Center on November 26th and was released on bond.
