Fifth Suspect Arrested And Charged With Attempted Murder In Catawba County Mass Shooting

Toland Huff Jr, age 20 of Hickory , has been arrested on one count of Attempted First Degree Murder. The Catawba County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the arrest Friday morning.

The charges are the result of a mass shooting in Catawba County in the morning hours of June 1st in the Mountain View Community of Catawba County. Huff becomes the 5th person charged with attempted murder in the shooting that killed one and wounded eleven.

18- Garon Nathaniel Killian of Lenoir.

18-Iziah Kane Mitchell of Lenoir

22-Zachary Michael Bates of Morganton

18-Ke’andre O’Neal of Hickory

On Thursday, 18-year-old Zoe Makenna Braswell of Lenoir was arrested by the US Marshall’s Service and charged with felony accessory after the fact of murder.

Raekwon Craig, age 21 of Taylorsville is charged with with aiding and abetting underage alcohol. He is being held without bond.

Patrick Tolbert, age 22 of Hickory is charged with 3 counts of aiding and abetting underage alcohol. He remains in custody with bond set at $10,000.
