Zachary Drew Treadway
On Saturday, September 5th, the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office arrested 27-year-old Zachary Drew Treadway. The suspect had been apprehended by the NC Highway Patrol following a traffic stop on NC Highway Patrol and charged with unsafe passing and driving while impaired.
Alexander County Deputies were requested based on suspicion of drugs in the vehicle. A search resulted in charges of felony possession of fentanyl, possession of schedule IV controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. The suspect has previous charges pending in Watauga County for felony possession of schedule II controlled substance. As of this report, Treadway remains in the Alexander County Detention Center without bond pending an initial court appearance on September 8th in Taylorsville.
