Shayne Scronce Lucas, age 34 of Hickory, was arrested on Friday, February 9th by the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office. He’s charged with felony trafficking opium or heroin, failure to report an accident and hit and run/leaving the scene of an accident resulting in property damage. Lucas remains in the Catawba County Detention Center with a secured bond set at $300,000. A Court appearance is set for today in Newton.
