A man was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Wilkes County on Wednesday. The accident was reported on Bethel Road in eastern Wilkes County shortly after 8 am.
Jeremy Lamar Saner, 25, of Hamptonville in Yadkin County was ejected from the car he was driving and died at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt according to the NC Highway Patrol.
As a result of the Highway Patrol’s investigation, the vehicle’s speed at the time of the wreck was estimated at 72 mph. The speed limit is 45 where the wreck occurred.
