Eastern Alexander County Man Arrested

Oscar Arias-Hernandez, age 38 of Hiddenite, was arrested on Tuesday by Alexander County Probation and Parole Officers. He was charged with felony probation violation from Burke County.

As he was being processed at the Alexander County Detention Center, Sheriff’s Office Detention Staff found him to be in possession of methamphetamine. He was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance on jail property.

As of earlier today, Arias-Hernandez remains in custody under a secured bond of $50,000. February 12th is listed as a court date.

In May, 2023 Arias-Hernandez was given an 18 month suspended sentence in Alexander County for assault on a female.
