NEWTON — Beginning Monday, the N.C. Department of Transportation will start a project on U.S. 321 just north of exit 37 (N.C. 10 ) in Catawba County.
Crews will work to remove bumps on the northbound and southbound approaches to both bridges, requiring single lane closures between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
The single-lane closures will take place over a two-week period.
Transportation officials advise drivers to remain alert and drive with caution through the work zone and adjust travel times, if necessary.
