162 COVID-19 Cases Past Two Weeks In Alexander County

18 new cases of COVID-19 were reported on Friday in Alexander County according to the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services. The county continues to see a significant increase in COVID cases adding 162 in the past two weeks. The increase is rivaling the numbers reported at the height of the pandemic.

4,652 since the beginning of the pandemic.

As of noon on Friday, 5 county citizens were hospitalized with symptoms associated with the virus.
