Couple In 70’s Killed In Conover Crash

June 2, 2026 By Richard C. Gilbert

The names of the victims in a fatal crash on Monday (June 1) in Conover have been released by the Conover Police Department. 73-year-old Harriet Lehman and 76-year-old Nathan Lehman, both of Conover, were killed in the Monday afternoon mishap.

At 2:20 p.m. Monday, the Conover Police Department responded to a single motor vehicle crash in the 400 block of Conover Blvd West. A 2013 Hyundai driven by Nathan Lehman was traveling east on Conover Blvd West. The Hyundai left the roadway striking a telephone pole before striking a bridge pillar. Both Harriet Lehman and Nathan Lehman passed away as a result of their injuries at the scene.

No additional injuries were reported as a result of the accident. Police say weather was not a contributing factor in the crash, which is still under investigation.
