Couple Arrested After Alexander County Traffic Stop

As the result of a traffic stop early Saturday morning a man and a woman are facing charges in Alexander County.

Alexander County Deputies stopped a vehicle on US 64 near Golf Course near Golf Course LN. Two arrests were made.

James Anthony Haney, age 45 of Richland, NC, is charged with

Felony possession of methamphetamine
Felony possession of a stolen firearm
Carrying a concealed gun
Possession of drug paraphernalia

Failure to appear warrants were served from Perquimans County for

Felony Possession of methamphetamine
Possession of schedule II controlled substance
Possession of marijuana
Possession of drug paraphernalia
Carrying a concealed gun
Multiple motor vehicle offenses including driving with license revoked

Haney remains in the Alexander County Detention Center and was scheduled for a Monday appearance in Alexander County District Court.

Katelyn Nicole Trueblood, age 33 of Granite Falls, was charged with

Felony possession of methamphetamine
Possession of marijuana
Possession of drug paraphernalia

Trueblood was placed in the Alexander County Detention Center and was scheduled for a Monday appearance in Alexander County District Court.
