The following is s statement issued by Alexander County Schools:
Alexander County School officials have continued to be in communication with law enforcement concerning the threat that was received on Friday. As of 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 19, there is no additional information other than the investigation is on-going.
We will continue to have an increased presence of law enforcement in our schools.
Authorities may share details before we can as they will be the first to know. Please understand as soon as we receive changes to the information pertaining to the schools, we will share it through social media and phone messages.
