The Alexander County Parks and Recreation Department (ACPR) is currently accepting registrations for spring sports during the entire month of February. COVID-19 safety protocols will be in place during the spring season.
The ACPR will be offering spring sign-ups for 3-4 t-ball, 5-6 t-ball, 7-8 baseball, 9-10 baseball, 11-12 baseball, 13-15 baseball, 7-8 softball, 9-10 softball, 11-12 softball, 13-16 softball, 7-8 co-ed soccer, 9-10 co-ed soccer, and 11-13 co-ed soccer. Age cut-off dates are May 1 for t-ball, baseball, and soccer, and January 1 for softball.
Registration fees are: 1 player – $40, 2 players -$75, 3 players – $100, and 4 players – $125.
Registration is available online at www.alexandercountync.gov/signup, or in-person at the ACPR office, which is open weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The office will also be open until 6:00 p.m. February 24 through February 26, and Saturday, February 27, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
The last day of regular sign-ups is Sunday, February 28 (office is closed, but online signup available). Registration after that date will be considered a late sign-up and there will be an additional $20 late fee. Anyone who signs up late is NOT guaranteed to be placed on a team.
A waiver of liability from a parent/legal guardian is required for a child to participate in any ACPR sport.
