Cougar Baseball Wins In Holiday Tournament Opener

Newton: The Cougar Baseball team got a win on opening day of the Catawba Valley Easter Baseball Classic at the American Legion Fairgrounds,

Gunnar Johnson went the distance for AC to earn the win on the mound.

Wade Queen and Graham Hoke both went 3-4, and both had a pair of runs-batted-in.

The win advances the 13-8 Cougars to the winner’s bracket on Tuesday.
