Conover Woman Jailed In Alexander County

The N.C. Highway Patrol with the assistance of the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Catawba County woman on Saturday. 30-year-old Stephanie Marie Rasnick of Benny DR., Conover, is charged with reckless driving to endanger, three counts of resisting arrest and three counts of misdemeanor child abuse.

The arrest document indicates that Raskick intentionally drove into the path of another vehicle driven by a male acquaintance. The child abuse charges are related to three minors being in her vehicle at the time.

Rasnick is being held in the Alexander County Detention Center under a secured bond of $51,500.
