Conover Police arrested a Charlotte man on Thursday and charged him with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury. 26-year old Antonio Rashawn Whitworth was also charged with assault by pointing a gun, robbery with a dangerous weapon, and an arrest warrant for failure to appear. Whitworth is being held in the Catawba County Detention Center with a secured bond of $75,000.
