A Conover man is facing a list of charges. 31-year old Joseph Ashley Bryant was arrested Wednesday by the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office. He’s charged with felony possession of cocaine, possession of schedule II controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of controlled substance on jail premises, possession of drug paraphernalia and assault on a female. Bryant is being held under a $10,000 secured bond in the Catawba County Detention Center. A first court appearance is scheduled for today in Newton.
