29-year-old Ricky James Miller of Conover was arrested Tuesday by Catawba County Sheriff’s Deputies. He’s charged with felony counts of assault by strangulation and cruelty to animals. Miller was incarcerated in the Catawba County Detention Facility under $20,000 bond. A District Court appearance was scheduled today in Newton.
