Company With Facility In Alexander County Has Been Sold

A company with a manufacturing facility in Alexander County has been sold.

The Timken Company, a global leader in engineered bearings and industrial motion products, has acquired the assets of American Roller Bearing Company. The Alexander County plant is in Hiddenite. Another facility located in Morganton.

ARB employs approximately 190 people. The company has had a presence in Morganton since it was founded there in 1911.
