According to a series of published reports CommScope Inc. has relocated its corporate headquarters from Hickory to Claremont.
The reports cite a filing the company made with Securities and Exchange Commission.
During the third quarter, the company saw its net sales drop by one third from the same period last year, according to data released by the company last week.
CommScope was founded in Hickory. The headquarters is now located off U.S. Highway 70 in Claremont.
The move comes in a year when the company also announced a major expansion and entered into economic incentive agreements with Catawba County and the state of North Carolina.
This past summer the state of North Carolina and Catawba County entered into economic incentive agreements with the company. The deals require CommScope to create 250 jobs and invest $60.3 million as part of its expansion.
