Charlotte Woman Charged With Attempting To Smuggle Items Into Alexander Prison

A woman is facing charges involving the attempt to smuggle items into the Alexander County Correctional Institute.

51-year old Fanisha Evette Locke of Charlotte turned herself into the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office on Monday. She was charged with felony providing contraband to an inmate. The investigation into the incident at the local prison dates back to April.

Locke has been released under a secured bond of $10,000.
