Taylorsville: Drew Chapman was money on the mound for Alexander Central as the Cougars beat Hibriten in Round I of the NWC Tournament Monday Night. Chapman went the distance allowing 7 hits and 1 run and AC took advantage of Hibriten’s 6 errors.
Wade Queen had the game’s only rbi. Koa Mikeal and Ty Matheson both had a pair of hits.
The win puts ACHS at 12-11. They will advance to Round II today and play top seed South Caldwell in Hudson. Game time is 7pm.
