Kentrel Antwain Overton, age 30, of Catawba, was taken into custody on Monday by the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office. He is charged with felony breaking and entering a motor vehicle. Overton is being held without bond in the Alexander County Jail. Charges are awaiting trial in Cleveland County for felony breaking and entering a motor vehicle, felony larceny of a motor vehicle, and possession of a stolen firearm. Overton has pending cases in Catawba County for felony possession of cocaine, possession of a firearm by a felon and driving with license revoked. A driving while license revoked charge is awaiting trial in Caldwell County as well.
