Alexander County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a Hickory woman just before 2am Wednesday. 53-year-old Jacquelyn Elizabeth Franklin was served Catawba County warrants for felony fraud and felony obtaining property by false pretense. She has been transferred to the Catawba County Detention Center and remains in custody with bond set at $20,000. Franklin was scheduled to make a Newton court appearance today.
