Catawba County Woman Enters Guilty Plea For Trafficking Methamphetamine

A Vale woman will spend six to eight years in prison following her conviction for trafficking methamphetamine. 33-year-old Jennifer Ann Biggs entered a guilty plea during Catawba County Superior Court on Tuesday, August 4th. The sentence was imposed by Superior Court Judge David H. Strickland of Mecklenburg County. Biggs was also was assessed a mandatory fine of $50,000.

On October 16, 2025, a traffic stop was initiated for speeding. Deputies saw the defendant throw something out the window of her vehicle. A free air sniff of the vehicle by a K9 unit gave a positive alert to the presence of drugs. Biggs was searched and had a trafficking amount of methamphetamine in her pants pocket. During an interview, she admitted that she was planning to sell the methamphetamine.

The investigation was conducted by Samuel Helms of the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office
