Necole Elizabeth Scronce, age 36, Crossing Creek Dr., Claremont, was arrested Saturday, August 8th by the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office. She is charged with felony neglect of disabled/elderly person with injury, felony larceny and felony financial card theft. Charges filed in 2025 are still pending. Those charges include felony possession of methamphetamine possession of schedule IV controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. As of this report the suspect is being held without bond in the Catawba County Detention Center. A Monday court appearance is set for Monday in Newton.
