DENVER – Starting this weekend, N.C. Department of Transportation contract crews will permanently close a segment of a Catawba County road as part of the ongoing N.C. 16 widening project.
On Saturday, the section of North Pilot Knob Road between Hagers Ferry Road and N.C. 16 will be closed. The one-lane road will remain closed during the realignment of the intersection, which is anticipated to be complete by mid-2022.
Motorists are advised to use caution and observe signage in the area.
