42-year-old Kaw Yang of Catawba was arrested Wednesday by Catawba County Sheriff’s Deputies and charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and possession of a firearm by a felon. He was also charged with assault with a deadly weapon, and two counts of injury to personal property. Yang was placed in the Catawba County Detention Center under a $102,000 secured bond.
