Catawba County Man Arrested On Texas Fugitive Warrant

39-year old Jeremie Jaque Holloway of Maiden was arrested by Catawba County Sheriff’s Officers on March 15 on a felony warrant as a fugitive awaiting extradition to another state. He is wanted by the Irving Police Department in Dallas County, Texas for assault on a pregnant person, which is classified as a third-degree felony in Texas.

Holloway is wanted in connection with an incident in November,2019. At that time, Holloway was involved in a domestic dispute with a female victim, who was about seven months pregnant with his child. He allegedly pushed the victim, who fell on her stomach. Later that day, the victim was taken to a hospital where an emergency “C” section was performed. The baby did survive the procedure.

Following his arrest on the 15th, Holloway was taken to the Catawba County Detention Facility. He is no longer listed as an inmate in Catawba County. An appearance in District Court on the fugitive warrant is coming up on March 27 in Newton. Holloway has another Catawba County court date set for March 25 on misdemeanor counts of assault on a female and communicating threats.
