Catawba County Man Arrested By Hickory Police Then Later Charged By Sheriff’s Office

52-year-old Sami Price Driggers of Bach Drive in Sherrills Ford was initially arrested Tuesday, July 1 by Hickory Police Officers. He’s charged with felony possession of schedule II controlled substance, possession of marijuana up to one-half ounce, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Later in the same day, Deputies with the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division executed a search warrant at Driggers’ residence. This search followed an investigation into a residential break-in in the Sherrills Ford area. During the search, deputies seized approximately 25 grams of methamphetamine, 24 grams of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.

Sami Price Driggers is now charged with additional counts related to the break-in investigation. He’s now being held without bond.
