A fatal fire has been confirmed in Catawba County.
Units responded Friday morning after 3am to a residence on Deal Road near Claremont. One person was found dead inside the home.
The Catawba County Sheriff’s Office, Catawba County Fire Marshal’s Office and SBI are conducting an investigation. The name of the victim has not been released.
