Scotty Allen Travis, age 55 of Claremont was arrested Monday by the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office. He’s charged with felony trafficking methamphetamine. Travis is being held in the Catawba County Detention Center with a secured bond set at $500,000 bond. He was scheduled to make an initial court appearance on Tuesday in Newton.
