33-year old Shena Bonnie Marie Mitchell of Taylorsville is be held in custody in Catawba County. Mitchell was arrested by Taylorsville Police on Wednesday on warrants from Catawba County that include a series of failure to appear counts. The original charges include possession of a controlled substance on prison or jail premises and multiple traffic related violations. Mitchell remains in the Catawba County Detention Center as of this morning with a secured bond of $8,000. She is scheduled to make a Newton court appearance today.
