Catawba County Authorities Searching For Missing Juvenile And Armed Robbery Suspect…UPDATED

Deputies and Ivestigators with the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office initiated an investigation into reports of an Armed Robbery on Thursday. This investigation led Investigators to a townhome in the Brandywine community located in the city of Conover. A search warrant was executed. Suspect(s) believed to be involved in these crimes were not located. Conover Police Department assisted in the service of this search warrant.

Jim Jernigan (aka Milkbone) has been charged in this incident with Armed Robbery and Larceny of a Motor Vehicle. Jernigan is believed to be armed and dangerous. A fifteen year old female, Hope Carroll, is believed to be in the company of Jernigan. Carroll is listed as missing and considered to be in danger. Jernigan and Carroll’s whereabouts are unknown at this time.

Persons having information concerning the whereabouts of Jernigan and or Carroll are asked to contact the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office at 828-464-3112.

Update:

Hope Carroll was located at a residence in northern Catawba County this morning by deputies and investigators following a tip concerning her possible whereabouts. Carroll is safe and being reunited with family.
