A suspect is in custody following a vehicle chase this afternoon in Alexander County.
Taylorsville Police Officers and Deputies with the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office pursued a suspected stolen vehicle. The vehicle was reported stolen earlier today in Hickory. Officers spotted the car on Millersville Road and attempted to stop it but it fled at a high rate of speed. The chase continued to Highway 16 and ended on Alspaugh Dam Road. A subject was taken into custody.
