The Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that the body of a male subject was found along Highway 321 north of Lenoir on early Sunday.
The man appears to be in his 40’s and is reported to be from Charlotte although his identity has not been released.
It’s not clear if the man was struck by a vehicle but his car was stolen and later found in Charlotte.
