On Christmas Eve, Caldwell County Sheriff’s Deputies on patrol along Connelly Springs Road, conducted a traffic stop for a routine traffic violation. During the stop, deputies located 7.3 grams of suspected methamphetamine along with digital scales.
Two men were arrested at the scene: Jonathan Wayne Loven, 50, and Rodney Dale Gragg, 52.
While at the magistrate’s office, deputies discovered an additional 112.1 grams of suspected methamphetamine in close proximity to Loven’s person.

Contempt of Court
He was also served with an outstanding warrant for Failure to Appear in Court on a felony charge. Loven was placed in the Caldwell County Detention Center under a $500,000 secured bond.

Rodney Dale Gragg
2 counts of Trafficking Methamphetamine
Maintaining a Vehicle or Dwelling for Controlled Substances
Gragg was also placed under a $500,000 secured bond.
The estimated street value of the methamphetamine seized is over $17,000.
