Thomas Lee Bryant
Thomas Lee Bryant, 22, is charged with felony child abuse with serious injury. More charges are expected to be filed according to the Hudson Police Department.
Police were called to a reported assault involving a 4-year-old male child at a residence along Hickman Avenue on Tuesday. Officers found the child to be suffering serious injuries. The injuries were reported to have been inflicted by an adult male who was babysitting the child. Initially, the child was transported to a local hospital then later taken to a regional trauma center for advanced medical treatment, Hudson Police said in a press release.
The child died around 2:30 am Thursday.
The investigation remains active, and additional charges are forthcoming.
Bryant is being held in the Caldwell County Detention Center under a $750,000 secured bond.
